It's me, Mario!!

When I first started baking and decided to start DGC, I thought- fondant is something I'm going to stay away from, too difficult, too time consuming. Then I caved, and I tried it for some skateboarding cupcakes for my nephew- I was hooked! I love how neat it looked in comparison to frosting designs, and the possibilities seemed endless! 

 Now I've used it for several orders and I know there's no going back to the time before fondant. 

Here's some very special fondant work for a special client- my 9 yr old son, Sam.

When you're creative by nature, not to be confused with Naughty By Nature- nothing makes you happier than hearing "do whatever you want". Which is just what I did with my most recent cupcake order. I was inspired by Lisa Frank. The rest well- the rest is history. I can't wait to share the photos.

Have I told you lately that I love cupcakes?

I can't stop thinking about them. Really. I can't. Today is May 9th, that makes tomorrow- May 10th. May 10th, May 10th... ah yes- my brother Randy's birthday! Which is cause for celebration of course, and what better way to celebrate than cupcakes! (or as he calls them- muffins, and sometimes he even requests cheesecake) I'm like- really Randy- muffins?! Muffins are some kind of healthy and usually required to be dry. Are my cupcakes ever dry?!? No. Cheesecake is a whole other story. But, in honor of him and his strange requests I think tonight I am going to bake up some kind of new and tasty treat. I'll be sure to report back with photos.
